Bike For Good presents Fix Your Own Bike

Wednesday 9th February 6pm-8pm

A guided workshop open to all where you can repair your own bike with support from a trained cycle mechanic.
In this two-hour session, you will have the opportunity to learn some bike maintenance and repair tips in a supportive environment with tools and advice on hand. This time we are hosting our Fix Your Own Bike workshop inside Civic House, and to make it extra cosy we will also be providing cookies and hot chocolate (all vegan).

6 pm Led bike maintenance and repair workshop

This part of the session will be led by us. By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
  • Safety check your bike
  • Clean and oil your chain
  • Adjust mechanical brakes
  • Adjust your gears
  • Work on your bike independently, if you prefer.

7 pm Open Workshop

We will be on hand to help with any repairs you want support with.
All tools and maintenance equipment is provided but if you have a particular repair you’d like to work on in the session, please bring any parts you’d like to fit as we don’t have a fully stocked workshop at Civic Street. You can always call or email us with any questions in advance.
Get in touch to let us know if you have any special requirements or allergies and we’ll do the best we can to accommodate you.

You can find out about our other activities in and around Civic Street here.
