Starting in October 2021, we are running a bursary membership scheme to offer 6 people supported membership for 6 months (October 2021 until April 2022). We are targeting this opportunity at those working across creative, cultural and social sectors whose practices have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, and who will benefit from access to workspace and support through a peer network.
Who can apply to the Bursary scheme?
Our ambition for the Studio is to engage ‘vertical’ and ‘lateral’ collaboration. We therefore encourage all specifications of workers (self-employed, freelance, employee, part-time) – and scale of organisation (grassroots, start-up, non-profit, local, national, international) to apply to the bursary scheme.
We encourage and will prioritise applications from protected characteristics groups, and those facing intersectional and social barriers.
What support and facilities do Bursary members access?
- Access to a flexible Hot Desk, Monday-Friday 9-5, October 2021 – April 2022 at no cost (equivalent to £120 p/m)
- Optional locker storage
- Access to communal studio facilities (kitchen, photocopier and paper cutting area)
- Access to members-only events
- Discounted access to meeting rooms and venue booking for meetings and workshops.
During their bursary period, applicants must be able to commit to delivering a workshop, talk or other form of peer-support that can be offered to other Studio members.
