Civic Street Open Day – May 7th

Civic Street Open Day – Workshops and activities focused on site activation, skill development and democratic street design

About this event

On May 7th we are launching our first Civic Street Open Day alongside our partners Bike For Good and Glasgow Tool Library.

Volunteer, get involved and drop-in for a day of cooking, building, mural painting, tool-fixing, bike riding and more!

Across the whole day there will be various activities to get involved with and a served lunch at 1 PM. All ages welcome.

Check out more about Civic Street on our website: www.civic-street.com/

~~~
Taking the site as a commons, a resource to be shared, we ask you to get involved in activating the area through building, planting, growing, cooking and play. We will offer different levels of engagement through these hosted activities – allowing you to get as involved as you choose. In return we will give you the time and space to learn new skills, connect with the site and meet new people. Through this process of cooperation with each other and the ecology of the street we hope to create a hub of collaboration, community and democratic exchange which will shape the development of the site into the future.
All activities are free but some are ticketed so please check before arriving.
