CAN I HIRE THE CIVIC HOUSE FOR FILMING, PHOTOGRAPHY, MUSIC VIDEO SHOOTS OR ADVERTISING?

Yes! The space works well for all of those types of hires and is available at affordable rates.

CAN I HIRE THE WHOLE BUILDING?

Exclusive dry hire is dependent on times, availability and schedule of the wider activities of the building.

WHEN IS CIVIC HOUSE OPEN?

The building isn’t fully operational at present though a limited selection of events are running at this time. Our co-working space will open in April 2022.

DO YOU HAVE A SOUND SYSTEM/PA/LIGHTING?

We can facilitate basic sound for talks and screenings. For all other sound and music requirements we recommend hiring an external system and we can put you in touch with reputable providers.

DO YOU OPERATE STROBE LIGHTING OR SMOKE MACHINES AT CIVIC HOUSE?

Strobe lighting and smoke/haze machines can be in use for certain events, exhibitions and shows, but we request you contact us before to confirm the details.

CAN I HIRE THE SPACE FOR A GIG, CLUB, OR SHOW?

Civic House is flexible space suitable for a wide range of events. Please contact us with any shows you propose for further discussions.  Any show must be booked with over 8 weeks notice to be able to apply for an occasional license.

DO YOU ALLOW UNDER 18’S AT EVENTS AT CIVIC HOUSE?

Under 18s are allowed into the building throughout the daytime, but not during licensed events unless stated otherwise. All guests wishing to attend a licensed event must provide ID in the form of a Valid Passport or driver’s license/provisional license – we operate under a challenge 25 policy. Civic House reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone, an ID or tickets does not guarantee the right of entry.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF HIRING THE CIVIC HOUSE?

Civic House’s pricing structure is different for every event, as each hire and event consists of many different factors, if you would like a quote or more information on hiring Civic House please get in touch.

WHAT TIME DO EVENTS AT CIVIC HOUSE EVENTS RUN UNTIL?

As we operate exclusively on occasional licenses granted by Glasgow City Council and apply for each license individually, times differ event to event. Please check the events page or social media for more information on each individual event.
If you require an alcohol license for an event please note there is a minimum 8 week license application period.

IS THERE DISABLED ACCESS AT CIVIC HOUSE?

Currently the ground floor of Civic House has ground level disabled access. Unfortunately the first floor is not fully accessible. It is our intention to address this as soon as possible. If you would like to discuss this further please get in touch on [email protected]
